Dr. Allen started working at Downsview Veterinary Hospital in 2012 as Dr. Ron’s right hand ‘man.’ She works 2-3 days a week, doing anything from annual exams, to neuter and spay surgeries to dental procedures.
Dr. Allen graduated from the Atlantic Veterinary College in 2001 as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine. She lives in Mississauga with her husband, three children, two cats Kabuki and Luki, her two dogs Gracie the Beagle and Mojo the Miniture Schnauzer. She also has the occasional duck that visits from time to time at the back door!
Besides medicine, she has a very strong interest in the human animal bond, animal rescue and rehabilitation. Dr. Allen and her husband’s most recent rescue was a bale of turtle hatchlings, they helped them to get strong and healthy enough to be on their own and then released them into a local river.
